Grooming Prices
Grooming prices vary for a very simple reason — the amount of time and the skill it takes to provide your pet with a quality grooming experience. It
isn't just about the size of your dog; in fact, sometimes smaller dogs that require meticulous work take longer and therefore cost more.
Bandanas takes into consideration breed, age, size, length and condition of coat, cooperation of your pet, and services required.
Our base price is $50 and we charge by the service provided. You do not pay by the hour. We tend to be modestly higher than traditional grooming establishments because we include our travel, so you don't have to make the trip.
The following pricing guidelines will give you a better idea of what a typical Bandanas groom will cost. These prices are all-inclusive. Once we meet your dog, we will be able to commit to a specific price.

Small to medium sized short-hair dogs (dachshunds, beagles, bulldogs, etc.)

Small to medium sized dogs needing haircuts or substantial brushing (spaniels, terriers, shelties, lhasas, etc.)

Large sized, short-hair dogs (labs, boxers, hounds, etc.)

Large sized dogs needing haircuts or substantial brushing (goldens, huskies, setters, shepherds, etc.)

- Bandanas gives a discount for a second dog in your household if you get both dogs groomed "back-to-back."

- Every 6th groom, Bandanas gives a 20% discount as part of our free "Bandanas Best Buddies" program.

Why prices vary
Bandanas tries to include all charges in our standard pricing so there won't be any surprises. Luxury, medicated, de-skunking, and basic deShedding shampoos are included in the price. However, there may be times when significantly extra work and time are required to make your dog look and feel great. The following conditions may result in an additional fee, which will be quoted to you in advance of your dog's grooming.
- Length and condition of coat – Excessive matting or dirt, or more hair than normal for that breed
- Age – Puppies and geriatric dogs that require special time-consuming handling or more than one person for grooming
- Temperament and behavior – Aggressive, uncooperative, and special needs dogs that require extra time
- Length of time since last groom – Prices assume dogs are on a regular 8-week grooming schedule; "overgrown" or matted coats require additional time
- Shave-downs (summer "strips") – Typically an additional $10 – 15, depending upon size of dog and length of coat
- Extensive DeShedding treatment – This would include significant brushwork to remove dense undercoat with a special DeShedding tool, shampoo, and conditioner; typically an additional $10 (small and medium dogs) or $20 (large dogs)
- Nail grinding and/or polishing – Additional $5
